English: Toothpaste color codes (Revised): [15,754]

Not many of us pay attention of the toothpaste bottom color we buy. But, after reading this, I bet you will consider these details which should be telling a lot about the toothpaste you are using.

What you need to do is have a look at the bottom of the tube, where you will find a colored stripe, or two.

Toothpastes have different colors of stripes, some have more than one stripe,, depending on their composition. You need to be able to recognize them. In that purpose, I am giving you this information about the various different stripes:

Black:  All Chemicals
Black with Yellow Stripe:  Chemicals with added Vitamins: D, E, and Folic Acid
Blue:  Natural with Medicines
Green:  All Natural
Grey:   Chemical with abrasive materials (usually, granite)
Metallic Blue: Natural with some Chemicals and some abrasive materials
Metallic Green: Organically grown (no chemicals) natural materials
Orange: All Chemical. Produced exclusively in China, exported World-Wide,
Pink: Lab grown natural compounds, with added whitening materials
Red:  Natural with Chemicals
Red with black stripe: Natural, with Chemicals with Sea Salt Added
White with Green:  Natural, Made from Shell Fish
White with Black: Shell-Fish with Chemicals, only available in the UK and European Union.

On the other hand, even though this information is available to customers, there are opposed claims that they have nothing to do with the ingredients of each product.

You can find all this information on the list of ingredients. The decision is yours. If interested, you should do a further research on the topic and find out which is the right way to select the perfect toothpaste for you. Good Luck !

Note:  My internet access is a wee bit limited right now, and is expected to change in the near future, thus my articles are sporadic, stay tuned, I will be posting more soon.

As always, stay healthy and stay safe !
