 English:  Expose of a Scammer, He who hacked a facebook profile / account  (No. 20,575)

Most of the time Facebook accounts aren't hacked. They're cloned. Someone has created a new profile using your name and photo. They then send friend requests to people on your friend's list and send weird-looking messages. 

Two of my friends posted that their accounts had been "hacked or cloned". When they create a new profile they upload your photo as their own with your name.  Now they're hoping someone clicks on a message they send to Facebook friends who may be tricked to think it's  coming from you. Something like: "Check out this video". The link might install malware to steal information or even ransomware that encrypts everything on your computer.  Yes, they'll ask for money in Bitcoin to get it back. Ransoms are generally $$$$$. The bad guy promises to clean your hard drives so you can retrieve everything.  And if you are broke: some cyber thieves offer to undo their dirty work for free if you agree to send the ransomware to three other people. Now, that’s an evil genius. 

My facebook is a prime example of a lost and stolen account. This is a new approach to steal a persons account, and this can only be done only if the victim targeted is using his account when the attack is initiation. 

On 06 August, 2022, at 1835 hrs. While on facebook using the account, my account animations slowed significantly even freezing multiple times [I believe this is where the SQL Script was injected into my account]; at which point in time, I believed that I had a ‘virus” so while the facebook page was inoperable, I ran a virus scan, and found nothing.  I opted to shut down Chrome  [This is when the account is lost “Stolen” - by restarting, the SQL script allowed the attacker to completely take over the facebook page, and though it is off on my computer, the page is still open for the attacker to do what he wants, as it continues to run in the back-ground,). This took 20 minutes, I tried to get back into facebook only to “fail” / improper account log-in.  I tried my emergency access log in/recovery but that too was deleted  by the attacker. After an hour, everything I tried I could not sign-in. 

I check my email accounts nightly at 9 p.m. there was nothing in my email accounts from facebook;  in fact I did not receive the notification until 2300 hours or 11:00 p.m. nearly 5 hours after the account was stolen, by that time it was far too late to recover the account. I am always checking my bank account, as funds are tight.  So when a -$1.00 charge on my bank card, from FaceBook.com drawing from my own account that was recently stolen less than 6 hours before.  Now, this Blog, is mostly anti-crime, so I am fully aware of what comes next. At 0200 on 07 August, 2022; I went to my Bank’s ATM and withdrew $$$ from my account, then I shut off the bank card to prevent further unauthorized transactions. It is a good thing that I did that.  Most businesses and criminals alike, will upon receiving a bank card, will either deposit or withdraw  $1.00, to see if the card is viable. Most people will not catch this - it’s common practice. 

So the $1.00 charge on my bank card was a great cause of concern; and rightly so, at 03:30 hours on 07 August 2022, I was notified of ‘declined’ charges to my then dead and turned off bank card; in the first bank the charges were minor, viz.,  the business is located in Peru, with a $2,000.00 charge for minor work on my new boat that I had purchased 40 minutes [ago]  ...   I’ve never been to Peru. 

This scammer was sending email to all my business associates, laminating that I needed cash as I am in the ICU with COVID - Really? It only took one business owner (a friend of mine, to call my phone and confirm that my account was being used by the scammer to some $$$

And you may want to reconsider your friendship with him, as well, as considering what you will lose should he do you like he has tried to do me. One last note here: Facebook Help is no help, an endless journey of frustration.
