The Top 4 Methods used by a Rapist to catch him a victim

Listed here is the Top four different methods used by serial rapists to hunt down and catch a victim. They are: The ‘con’, The ‘ambush’ , The ‘surprise' and The ‘drug’ method. Note that 'John' is an anonymous serial Rapist and only used here for illustration purposes.

The ‘Con’ method
The ‘con’ approach involves deception and depends on the rapist's ability to interact with women. With this technique, the rapist openly approaches the victim and requests or offers some type of assistance or help. This a man who invades your personal space. He is trying to test the waters with you and see how strong your personal boundaries are. Following is and incident of a FBI report of 73 men who were responsible for raping 837 victims and which describes such hunting tactic:
John, a man who raped more than 33 women, told the interviewers that he stopped one of his victims late at night and identified himself as a plainclothes police officer. He asked for her driver's license and registration, walked back to his car and sat there for a few moments. He then returned to the victim, advised her that her registration had expired and asked her to accompany him to his car. She did so, and upon entering the car, he handcuffed her and drove to an isolated location where he raped and sodomized the victim several times over the course of a 7 hour period.”
Various tricks used by the offenders included impersonating a police officer, providing transportation for a hitchhiking victim, and picking women up in singles bars. Rapist also use tactics that are not considered normal in society. For instance, one serial rapist used his own children as a lure:
“John approached a woman walking along a road way, looking distraught, told her that his child was having trouble and would she come and help him out. The victim followed John to his car and while assisting the baby, she was attacked, raped and sodomized several times. John then drove the victim to an isolated and secluded place, removed her shoes and left.”

The ‘Ambush” method
In an ambush approach, the rapist uses a direct, injurious physical assault which overpowers and physically injures the victim. The attacker may also use chemicals or gases but most frequently makes use of his ability to physically subdue a woman.
“John, a 35+-year-old male, approached a woman loading groceries in her car, struck her in the face, threw her in the vehicle and raped her. On another occasion, he entered a women's restroom in a hospital, struck his victim, and raped her in a stall. Exiting the restroom with the victim in his grasp, he threatened her as though they were involved in a lover's quarrel, and thus precluded interference from concerned onlookers who had gathered when she screamed.”

The ‘Surprise‘ method
The surprise approach involves the attacker waiting for the victim or approaching her after she is sleeping. In this case the rapist has preselected his victim through unobserved contact and knowledge of when she would be alone. Often threats or the use of a weapon are applied at this type of crime. Nevertheless no actual injuries occur with the used weapons they generally serve as tools for intimidation and submission.
John, a 35+-year-old male, would preselect his victims through ‘peeping tom’ activities. He would then watch the victim's residence to establish her patterns. After deciding to rape the woman, he would wait until she had gone to sleep, enter the home, and place his hand over her mouth. He would advise the victim that he did not intend to harm her if she cooperated with the assault. But if she did not cooperate he would tell her that he would also harm her other family members. He raped more than 83 women before he was apprehended.”
The ‘surprise’ method was the most frequently used approach and is used most often by men who lack confidence in their ability to control the victim through physical threats or a scam.

The ‘Drug’ method
This hunting pattern applies the use of certain drugs which cause a lack of inhibition, semi-consciousness and an amnesiac effect for several hours. If combined with alcohol, these drugs can’t be detected after 24 to 72 hours in the bloodstream and after three days in the urine. These drugs are now freely available on the street.
John, a 40+ year old male, would approach his victims mostly in nightclubs or bars. He preferably would choose a shy and not especially attractive girl for they would less likely turn down the attention form such a charming and hot guy. He either would offer to buy them a drink which he would prepare with a drop of a date rape narcotic or he’d wait until a woman would leave her drink unattended and then slip something into her glass. He made sure most of his victims were alone so he could easily carry them out to the car or the back of the club pretending they were his girlfriend. Once alone with the victim he would rape and sodomize them.”

The Moral here is this: If you don't know them, don't go with them regardless of how dire there problem is or seems to be, offer to call the authorities for them.
