“Cannibalism” it
seems to be one of the most hated crimes that fills people with the most
disgust, as the mere thought of someone voluntarily eating the flesh of another
human being causes people to become violently ill. Sometimes the criminals have
become infamous as they have practiced modern cannibalism.
Peter Bryan murdered Brian Cherry, hacked of both his arms
and one of his legs and fried his brain in butter in February 2004. Brian had
spent several years in prison for another murder but mental health experts
eventually decided he could be released on a community order. Nine weeks later
after he was sent to Broadmoor he murdered another patient.
Andrei Chikatilo confessed to have befriended his victims
before raping, killing and eating more than 50 people for his sexual pleasure.
Following one of the largest operations in Russian police history he was
arrested and executed in Rostov in 1994.
Jeffrey Dahmer was jailed for murdering 17 young men in the
USA between 1978 and 1991. America and the world were shocked by his crimes
when he was finally arrested in 1991 aged 30 after committing his first murder
at just 18-years-old. Cops discovered partly cooked human flesh at his
apartment as well as a human head in the fridge. "The Milwaukee Cannibal"
received 16 life sentences for his crimes, some of which involved necrophilia.
Dahmer was murdered by a fellow inmate in prison.
Rudy Eugene stunned the world when he stripped naked and ate
a homeless man’s face off while high on drugs in the street in Miami, Florida
His victim survived the attack but was left badly disfigured after a crazed
Eugene ate both his eyes and other parts of his face. Eugene was believed to
have been on the drug "bath salts" when he committed the brutal
attack. He was shot dead by police after he refused to stop the attack.
Paedo Albert Fish, also known as "The Grey Man.” He was
arrested and convicted for eight slayings.
Six years later the serial killer sent the girls family a letter
graphically describing the murder, butchering and cooking of their daughter,
telling them how much he enjoyed it. The letter was traced back to the Paedo,
and he was arrested and convicted for eight slayings. Fish was executed by
electric chair in New York in 1936.
Self-styled "Crossbow Cannibal", Stephen Griffiths
butchered and ate three prostitutes in 2010. He skinned his victims and chopped
up their bodies before cooking and eating their flesh. Depraved Griffiths told
cops eating his victims was "part of the magic". He was convicted of
the murders of Susan Rushworth, 43, Shelley Armitage, 31, and Suzanne Blamires,
36.
Austin Harrouff was “making animal noises” when police
arrived on the grisly scene and allegedly found him on top of John Stevens,
tearing pieces of flesh off with his teeth. Cops tasered the crazed 19-year-old
to no effect and even a police dog could not stop him continuing the attack.
Sadly, neither he nor his victim survived this attack as officers shot him dead
for refusing to yield to their commands to stop.
Luka Magnotta uploaded footage of himself repeatedly
stabbing his victim with an ice pick, then dismembering him and performing acts
of necrophilia, this sparked an international manhunt after he butchered his
gay lover Lin Jun.
Canadian cops saw a more extensive version and said
cannibalism had been performed. Magnotta then sent parts of the body to several
political parties and schools in Canada. He was eventually arrested in a Berlin
Internet cafe while reading stories about himself online. Magnotta was
sentenced to life imprisonment in Canada in 2014.
Meyiwes, Armin was
convicted of killing and eating another man he met on the internet Meyiwa’s
received a life sentence for murdering a man he met on the internet in 2001.
Bernd Jurgen Brandes, responded to an
advert the cannibal had put on a website asking for someone willing to be
killed and eaten. He took his victim back to Rotenberg, Germany where he cut of
Brandes penis which they both then consumed together. The killer then stabbed
him to death and chopped up his body into sections before freezing them.
Investigators estimated he had eaten around 45lbs of his victim when he was
arrested in December 2002. He was originally convicted of manslaughter,
claiming his victim asked to be killed, but this was overturned and he was
found guilty of murder in 2006.
Anthony Morley [Ex Mr. Gay UK]savagely murdered his
boyfriend Damian Oldfield then carved up his lover's flesh, seasoned it with
herbs, fried it in olive oil and ate it.
Morely slashed his lover's throat and stabbed him multiple times after
the pair had watched Brokeback Mountain in bed in Leeds.
