list about the craziest real-life cannibal attacks that have ever happened,
either in a single incident or over a series of years (and sometimes, decades).
All the famous cannibals on this list killed people with intent to eat or at
least cook their victims. Now, I've excluded people like the tribes of the West
Indies, the Maori tribes and other cultures where cannibalism was just a part
of life. The real cannibals on this list committed these crimes while living
within the rules of our Western society and all of the crimes on this list were
horribly and extremely violent. These are the worst, most depraved, and most
well-known famous cannibals in human history.
3 Homeless Men Kill and Eat a Pedestrian
In Moscow, Russia, not
only did three homeless guys basically reenact parts from a zombie movie, but
they ended up selling the parts to a place where they sell kebabs. What kind of
place just buys random meat given to them by homeless people? Anyway, in Russia,
there's a place you can sell pretty much any meat, which I guess is good to
know. So once again, If you're ever in
Russia, do not try the street kebabs. They might be
people. After people found some of the
parts near a bus stop east of Moscow, an investigation led back to the three
homeless guys who attacked the 25 year-old victim with hammers and knives, then
cut him up and ate him.

Born Hamilton Howard
Fish on May 19, 1870, the man who would later be known as "The Gray
Man," "The Werewolf," "The Brooklyn Vampire," and
"The Boogey Man," grew up in an orphanage where he was introduced to
drinking urine and eating human feces. Not really a great start. By 1890, he went to New York City and became a
male prostitute, at which point he started raping young boys, mostly under the
age of six. A male lover once took him
to a wax museum where he saw and was fascinated by a bisection of a penis
(which is when a penis is split directly in half), which led to his obsession
with castration, which he tried on a few of his victims. He had
"implements of Hell" (a butcher knife, a bone saw, and a meat
cleaver), which he would use to torture, mutilates, and murder young children.
He boasted to have a child he's either abused or eaten in every state in the
U.S., but was only ever actually suspected of and convicted for about eight of
them. The case that really made him famous (as it was what led to his final arrest)
was the abduction and murder of Grace Budd (pictured above). He pretended to be
taking her to his niece's birthday party, to which her parents consented, but
was never brought back.

mine shipped as a deck hand on the Steamer Tacoma, Capt. John Davis. They

long he acquired a taste for human flesh. On his return to N.Y. he stole
two boys one seven, one 11. Took them to his home stripped them naked
tied them in a closet. Then burned everything they had on. Several
times every day and night he spanked them — tortured them — to make
their meat good and tender.
First he killed the 11
year old boy, because he had the fattest ass and of course the most meat on
it. Every part of his body was Cooked and eaten except the head —
bones and guts. He was Roasted in the oven (all of his ass), boiled,
broiled, fried and stewed. The little boy was next, went the same
way. At that time, I was living at 409 E 100 st., near — right
side. He told me so often how good Human flesh was I made up my mind to

strawberries. We had lunch. Grace sat in my lap and kissed me. I
made up my mind to eat her.
On the pretense of
taking her to a party. You said Yes she could go. I took her to an empty house
in Westchester I had already picked out. When we got there, I told her to
remain outside. She picked wildflowers. I went upstairs and stripped
all my clothes off. I knew if I did not I would get her blood on them.
When all was ready I
went to the window and called her. Then I hid in a closet until she was in the
room. When she saw me all naked she began to cry and tried to run down the
stairs. I grabbed her and she said she would tell her mamma.
First I stripped her
naked. How she did kick — bite and scratch. I choked her to death, then
cut her in small pieces so I could take my meat to my rooms. Cook and eat it.
How sweet and tender her little ass was roasted in the oven. It took

Australian wife killed
her ex-husband and served him as dinner for his kids
The first Australian
woman to be sentenced to a natural life term without parole, Katherine Knight
had a history of violence in relationships. She mashed the dentures of one of
her ex-husbands and slashed the throat of another husband's eight-week-old
puppy before his eyes. A heated relationship with John Charles Thomas Price
became public knowledge with an "Apprehended Violence Order" that
Price had filed against Knight. She
stabbed Mr. Price 37 times with a butcher's knife before skinning him and
hanging his hide from a meat hook in their lounge room back in 2000. She then
decapitated the man and put his head in a pot on the stove, baked flesh from
his buttocks, and cooked vegetables and gravy as side dishes to serve to Mr.
Price's children. Police found the
macabre cannibalistic dinner before the children arrived home.

The worst part is
that it was his family. And they did a lot more than just go nuts on this one
incident. You can pretty much say these were the worst parents of all time. Ondrej
and Jakub, ages 8 and 10, were sexually abused and forced to cut themselves by
their family throughout their childhood. They were kept in cages or handcuffed
to tables and were often made to stand in their own filth for days on end. An
anonymous man reported the abuse he heard after he accidentally caught the TV
baby monitor feed on his identical TV baby monitor (they must've been on sale).
The woman installed the monitor so that she could watch the suffering of her
victims from the comfort of her very own kitchen, likely while enjoying a meal.
The 10 year-old boy and a 13 year-old girl were freed after police arrived. The youngest was skinned alive and forced to
eat his own flesh. The cult's name is the Grail Movement,
which has hundreds of followers in Great Britain and tens of thousands of
others worldwide.

In 2008, an 8 year-old
boy was skinned and his flesh was fed to cannibal relatives after his mother
kept him locked in a cellar. Evil Klara Mauerova, a member of a sinister
religious cult, wept in court as she admitted torturing her son, Ondrej, and
his 10year-old brother, Jakub. The court also heard allegations that relatives
had partially skinned 8-year-old Ondrej and then eaten the raw human flesh. The
two boys told how their mother and relatives had stubbed cigarettes out on
their bare skin, whipped them with belts and tried to drown them. The sick
abuse was discovered when a man in Brno, in the Czech Republic, installed a TV
baby monitor to keep watch on his newborn child. However, it picked up a signal
from an identical monitor next door that showed one of the victims beaten,
naked, and chained in a cellar. Mauerova is understood to have installed it so
she could gloat over her victims' suffering from the comfort of her kitchen.
Police were called, and the boy and his brother, as well as what appeared to be
a 13-year-old girl, were freed. At that time, police did not realize that the
13-year-old, who had been formally adopted, was really 34-year-old Barbora
Skrlova, one of the children's torturers. Mauerova has admitted that she abused
her children, but she said she had been manipulated by her sisters Katerina and
Skrlova. All three of them had been part of a cult called the Grail Movement,
which claims to have hundreds of followers in Britain as well as tens of
thousands of others worldwide.
Currently
residing in a psychiatric hospital, Alexander Spesivtsev killed up to 80 people
(but was only convicted of 19) and ate a good majority of them. Unsurprisingly,
he's been declared insane and is thankfully behind government-secured doors in
Russia (pro tip: never try the street meat). He was initially discovered and
caught when his pipes started malfunctioning in his house. A pipe breakage
forced his neighbors to call a plumber, who had to open his door by force when
Spesivtsev wasn't home. The plumber
found a mutilated, headless body in the bathtub, bowls with pieces of human
meat in them in the kitchen, and a mutilated Olga Galtseva somehow still alive
on the sofa. She died shortly after, but was able to tell her story. The creepiest part is that Spesivtsev's mother
was luring the women into the apartment for him to rape, beat, kill, and eat. The mother, of course, cooked the bodies for
dinner. He was sentenced to death after being found guilty of 19 murders.

Joachim Kroll ate so
many people in Germany that when he was caught, entrails were found in his
waste-pipes. The man was mentally
retarded and a beloved member of a small community in NE Germany. The children
even knew him as "Uncle Joachim" because of all the candy and toys he
had in his apartment. He was said to have actually believed that these children
were his real nieces and nephews. One day, a neighbor was told not to use his
upstairs toilet in a very nonchalant manner, "because it is blocked up
with guts." And since this was a shared toilet, the man looked into
repairing the toilet. The remains of a young girl who'd recently gone missing
were found. Uncle Joachim was arrested and then was discovered to have had
pieces of children in his refrigerator. The child, Marion, was a big fan of
Kroll's candy collection. His victims were always sexually assaulted either
pre- or postmortem, and were always partially eaten. Kroll killed 14 young
women and firmly believed that young children had the best tasting human meat.

The chilling story of
how a cannibal tracked down a willing victim and ate him is enough to scare you
from using the Internet. Armin Miewes had nurtured a dream of killing and
eating a human since he was 12. He said he once imagined putting a schoolfriend
onto a kebab spit "and slowly roasting him." It took 29 years and 430
e-mail contacts to make his dream come true. He searched for willing victims in
chatrooms such as Gourmet, Cannibal Cafi and Eaten Up, advertising for
"young, well-built men aged 18 to 30 to slaughter." The 41-year-old
computer expert eventually made contact with Bernd Brandes, 43. The Berliner, who
was also a computer technician, had sold his car, written a will, and taken the
day off work to sort out what he called "a personal matter." He went
to Miewes' home in Rotenburg, central Germany, where the pair agreed to cut off
Brandes' penis. Miewes cooked it with garlic, salt, and pepper in a frying pan
before both men ate it. Then he videotaped himself stabbing Brandes in the
chest with a 12 in. knife. "It was an indescribable feeling for me,"
he told police in a confession. Later, he filleted 65 lb. of flesh from the
body, which he labelled as "rump, steak, fillet, ham and bacon." He
stored the parts in his freezer for seven months, occasionally removing fillets
to barbecue in his garden. His first meal was a "thigh steak" cooked
in garlic and Muscat wine, served with deep-fried potato balls, Brussel
sprouts, and washed down with a South African cabernet. "The flesh tasted
so much like pork I can't tell you," Miewes told police. Officers who
searched his library found human cookery books among a collection of Walt
Disney videos. They included recipes for "penis in red wine" and
"breaded young man's liver." Miewes, who was arrested after a tip-off
from another contact who got cold feet, will be tried for murder, since
cannibalism is not a crime in Germany.

October 18, 2009, David Viens and his wife Dawn had a terrible argument.
Finally fed up, he taped her mouth and bound her feet. He claims it was to
prevent her from “driving around wasted, whacked out on coke, and drinking.” He
was panicked to find out the next day that Dawn had died in the bound and
gagged position. That's absolutely terrible… but that's not even half of the
story. You see, instead of simply calling the police and turning himself in,
David came up with a disgusting way to dispose of the body. At the time of
Dawn's untimely death, David was the chef and owner of Thyme Cafe in Torrance,
California, located in the South Bay of Los Angeles. In an interview with
detectives, David simply explains, “I just slowly cooked it, and I ended up
cooking her for four days.” David packed his wife's 105 pound body into a
container, using heavy weights to keep it submerged in the boiling water. He
mixed the corpse with other various kitchen waste and poured everything down
the grease pit located in Thyme Cafe's kitchen. The other remains that would
not cook down were packed away into trash bags and thrown away. The only thing
that remained of Dawn was her skull. David explained in the interview, “That's
the only thing I didn't want to get rid of in case I wanted to leave it
somewhere.” Uh… so where's the skull? He claimed that he put it in his mother's
attic; but when investigators combed the location later that day, they found
nothing. This is obviously not the first time investigators have torn apart
locations close to David in search of evidence. Back in 2011, Thyme Cafe was
dug up and searched, but nothing was found. Now we know exactly why police were
unable to find Dawn's remains. She was slow-cooked to mush and dumped down the
drain. David's voice was alarmingly calm while he gave the interview, which was
taken in March 2011 and used in court during the murder trial. David listened
to the tape in the courtroom along with the jurors, who appeared stunned and
disgusted at the tape-recorded interview. The interviews were taken while David
was in the hospital after attempting suicide when he learned that he was a
suspect in Dawn's disappearance. Apparently, he jumped off an 80-foot cliff…
because that's totally the behavior of an innocent man.

Man Kills Young Girls, Drinks Blood, Sent Bone Powder to Families
In what is one of the
most heartless, horrible crimes ever to have been performed, Tsutomu Miyazaki,
known as "The Otaku Murderer" (Otaku, meaning a "love of anime
and general Japanese culture," but in this case, just someone obsessed
with young girls) or "The Little Girl Murderer," or "Dracula,"
killed four little girls between the ages of four and seven. He drank their
blood and had sex with their dead bodies. The man's premature birth left him
with deformed hands, which were fused directly to his wrists. This supposedly
led him to live in a world of fantasy and comic books, which somehow then led
to him turning to child pornography for thrills. Miyazaki was influenced by the Guinea Pig
series of horror films, one of which was used to model one of his murders. Much like Albert Fish, he would send letters
to his victims' families, often detailing exactly what he did to them, and
often included the burned ashes of the children's bones. Here's how he was finally caught: While he was
trying to sexually assault a young girl with a zoom lens, he was caught by her
father, who went to town on the guy until Miyazaki ran away. Miyazaki
eventually returned for his car, which he had misparked, and was caught by
police. His father committed suicide, and Miyazaki was hanged in June of 2008. For

German tourist who was
"eaten by cannibals" on a Pacific island
Stefan Ramin, a
40-year-old German tourist who was visiting the island of Nuku Hiva in the
Pacific Ocean, has disappeared and his remains are believed to have been found
by a campfire belonging to a tribe accused of being cannibals. Mr. Ramin had
stopped on the island as part of a sailing expedition with his 37-year-old
girlfriend Heike Dorsch in 2011. He met a guide, Henri Haiti, who took him on a
goat hunt – a popular tradition on Nuku Hiva, which is 930 miles northeast of
Tahiti and close to the equator. However, when the guide returned alone he told
Ms. Dorsch that there had been an accident, before allegedly attacking her and
tying her to a tree. Ms. Dorsch managed to escape and raise the alarm with
local law enforcement, who started looking for clues as to the guide's
whereabouts, while DNA tests were conducted on what are thought to be human

Husband, Father Keeps Fridge of Horrors in His Home
Matej Curko was not a
good person. He had a wife and kids, sure, but he also managed to not only
become a cannibal, but he used the Internet to lure in his victims. This
happened in Slovakia, though, which is most likely why Chris
Hansen

never caught him. Over the Internet,
Curko would trick his victims into meeting with him. Then he would somehow (as
some people on this list inexplicably do) convince them to a suicide and
cannibalism pact - or he would just kidnap them,

extensive "Fridge of Horrors" that included the bodies of two women
who had disappeared the previous year. During
a sting operation that was (sadly) not televised, an agent was made to meet up
with him for some suicide and food. When Curko pulled out a gun and started
shooting at officers, the worst snipers in the world
shot him five times and he still lived.
He was apprehended,
but died later that day in the hospital. He was later linked to the disappearance of 30
Italian women. His wife, who is inexplicably cute, stood by him and denied his

Dahmer, America’s Most Known Cannibal
Jeffrey Dahmer
arguably the most famous American serial killer who ate 17 people. Chocolate
factory employee and seemingly mild-mannered gentleman, Jeffrey Dahmer was
accused of killing, raping, torturing, dismembering, and even in some cases,
eating, a total of 17 victims between 1978 and 1991. Dahmer's calm, controlled,
and polite attitude throughout this 1994 interview with Stone Phillips shows no
indication of a man capable of committing the crimes he's describing. Though
evidently aware of his mistakes and regretful of his actions, he gives us and
Phillips an idea as to the sort of satisfaction and sexual gratification he
felt while dominating and subduing his victims. A chilling recount of his first
murder in 1978, in a hotel room involving a man he met at a bar, is vaguely
described at the three-minute mark of the clip. "When I woke up in the
morning, my forearms were bruised," Dahmer said. "And his chest was
bruised, blood was coming out of his mouth, he was hanging over the side of the
bed, and I have no memory of beating him to death, but I must have." Dahmer
admits to striving for total control over his victims, a large part of the
reason why he committed the crimes, and when Phillips questions him about the
pleasure he acquires from the actual act of killing his victims at the 6:06
mark, Dahmer replies, "the killing was just a means to an end, that was
the least satisfactory part, I didn't enjoy doing that. That's why I tried to
create living zombies with muriatic acid and the drill. But it never worked."
There's no telling what kind of zombie
apocalypse would have occurred if Dahmer's intricate zombie scheme did work
out, but let's just be glad that he wasn't as proficient in his zombie
manufacturing skills as he was in manslaughter.

Attacked, Beheaded, Eaten on Public Bus
Vince Weiguang Li
proves that not all Canadians are amazingly nice human beings who enjoy poutine
and maple syrup. Some of them are complete monsters and can be found in the
most unsuspecting places sometimes.
On a Greyhound bus, the new Canadian citizen, who immigrated from China,
completely snapped and caused one of the most horrific scenes I've ever heard
of (that actually happened) with a twist (wait for the end). While sitting next
to passenger Tim McLean (who was sleeping), Li produced a huge knife and began
to stab him repeatedly in the neck and chest until McLean was completely
decapitated (which just shows how badly some people hate sitting next to a
snorer). Li walked around showing the
severed head to the rest of the passengers as they screamed and ran out of the
bus in fear of being brutally dismembered as well. Li never left the bus, but
stayed back and continued dismembering the man and consumed McLean's flesh, all
while carrying around the severed head. Out
of respect for the dead, I will not mention the irony of McLean's last name or
the fact that his name makes him already sound like a "nutritious"
sandwich option at McDonald's. Li ate McLean's eyes, ears, nose and tongue.
He's currently at a maximum security mental facility. And there's more! He had the knife on him for
protection. "Why?" you may ask. Well the why, of course, is because
he needed protection from the aliens. He
told authorities later that he believed the voice of God told him to do all
this: “The voice told me that I
was the third story of the Bible, that I was like the second coming of Jesus
(and that) I was to save people from a space alien attack.” Li then
said:"I was really scared. I remember cutting off his head. I believed he
was an alien. The voices told me to kill him, that he would kill me or others.

Kills Prostitutes, Old Rich Guys For Food
He exclusively killed
wealthy older men and young prostitutes. Yoo Young-chul, a South Korean
gentleman, had a pretty simple philosophy: "Women shouldn't be sluts, and
the rich should know what they've done." These were his motives for
killing and eating people. Like a lot of
people on this list, Yoo had a history of mutilating animals. He murdered 21
people between 2003 and 2004. He burned three of them and mutilated the rest,
eating some of their livers raw. He
killed most of his victims with a hammer, which seems to be a pattern in these
kinds of crimes. The real reason he seemed to gravitate towards killing
prostitutes, though, was that one dumped him after he tried to have a romantic
relationship with her. He pretty much
stuck to them from there on out until he was finally caught in July of 2004. Found

Williams's Last Meal Is a Woman's Face
Suspected
murderer Matthew Williams, 34, was caught in a hotel room in November
2014, eating parts of a 22-year-old woman's face. He had been released a few
weeks prior, having served a five-year prison sentence for a violent
attack on his partner, who happened to live near the hotel at which he was
staying. Security staff called the police after they discovered him allegedly
eating the woman, face first. According to Jill Edwards, a local resident who
described Williams as "an animal," they entered his room after not
getting a response from Williams, who is also known by the nickname
"Fifi." This attack would prove to be his last, as he was struck by a
high voltage taser used by the police to assist in his apprehension. He was
formally arrested following the tasing, but moments later became

Man Kills Women, Serves Their Meat At Parties
This guy not only
killed seven women, but Nikolai Dzhumagaliev served the meat to his friends as
well-cooked ethnic cuisine, at parties he would throw. Yes, that's right, this
guy had FRIENDS. He also lives in Kazakhstan. His friends didn't know they were
eating "long pig." Dzhumagaliev prided himself on trying to rid the
world of prostitutes – a convenient ulterior motive for cannibals. He also had his teeth replaced with metal
fangs, which makes this guy the closest thing to a Bond villain I have ever
even heard about in real life. He was eventually caught when some drunk friends
of his found a human head and intestines inside his fridge. So word to the

Naked Zombie Cannibal Attack
On May 26th, 2012, 31
year-old Rudy Eugene ripped off his clothes and began attacking a homeless man
who didn't even look that delicious in broad daylight in Miami, FL. He began by
tearing away at the homeless man's face with his teeth. Apparently Eugene was
on the drug commonly known as "Bath Salts," which in recent years,
has caused some of the most uniquely insane and bizarre crimes to hit the news.
The victim, Ronald Poppo (age 65), was just an innocent person in the way of
Eugene's Bath Salts-filled rage.
Bath salts are described as synthetic cocaine which, according to doctors, feels like Meth, Cocaine, and PCP combined. The drug is said to cause body temperature to rise to such a degree that people rip off their clothes and become extremely aggressive, most of the time in a stage of "extreme delirium." People have been known to use their jaws for violence and "become extremely strong." One of the most disturbing things about the attack is not only how long it took (about 20 minutes of this kind of torture), a car slowed down to look at what they were seeing then drove off and probably, understandably, started boarding up their windows and conserving ammo for the on-coming zombie apocalypse. A 24-year-old Li Zhenghua was spotted chewing
on her newborn son's arm just minutes after giving birth. A nurse found the new
mom with her teeth locked around the baby's wrist. Hospital staff were
eventually able to pry the woman's mouth open and rescue the little boy, but
not before he sustained heavy bruising and bleeding. Zhenghua is suspected to

Bryan had a craving for human flesh unparalleled to most on this list. Some are
compulsions, some are fueled by hallucinations, but Peter Bryan's cannibalism
made him an absolute animal. After being
arrested for killing a woman with a hammer, Bryan was put into a low-support
accommodation facility after his social worker recommended him on good behavior
(spoilers: worst decision ever). First thing he did was go over to his
friend Brian Cherry's house with a hammer. It took 24 hits to the head with a
hammer to kill Cherry. Peter Bryan was in the kitchen with blood all over him
when a friend of Cherry's came in to find Peter Bryan saying simply,
"Brian is dead." Brian Cherry had been dismembered and left on
the floor. Much like a lot of these guys, Peter Bryan, the cannibal, stayed in
the house and relaxed while police came to the scene. When they showed up, he was cooking up Brian
Cherry's brain in a frying pan next to a tub of Clover butter. Brain tissue was
found with hair and scalp on a plate nearby with a knife and fork. A lot of
these guys are very serene when they're apprehended, which just goes to show
how deep of a dementia these guys suffer from, and that people like this should
probably not go unsupervised. Ever! After being arrested for this crime, Peter
Bryan spent time around other people in another mental health facility, when he
began beating a man to death while tying a ligature to his neck. If he hadn't
been stopped, Bryan said, he would have eaten that man as well. When allowed to speak on why he had such a

2012, it was reported how a naked man was shot and killed by police in Miami,
Florida while eating the face of another naked man who was lying next to him on
a freeway off-ramp in a horrific incident described by one witness as "the
most gruesome thing I have ever seen in my life." Rudy Eugene was killed
by a city police officer after refusing to back away from Ronald Poppo, who was
left fighting for his life in a hospital after suffering critical injuries. The
ghoulish incident took place near the MacArthur Causeway on the doorstep of the
Miami Herald, with the newspaper's security cameras filming the event. A police officer approached the man after
being flagged down by a passer-by and then ordered him to move away from the
man whose face he was eating. After he refused to acknowledge the officer's
warning he opened fire, with witnesses reporting at least six shots fired.
Witness Larry Vega said, "I told him to get off, and the guy just kept
eating the other guy away." Describing
the scene after the police officer issued his warning, he added:,"The guy
just stood, his head up like that, with pieces of flesh in his mouth. And he
growled." After the officer was hailed as a "hero" by his
colleagues, Sergeant Altarr Williams, supervisor of Miami Police's homicide

In
2009, two cannibals had been feasting on the remains of their brother for six
months in an effort to hide his murder. The brothers, identified only as
28-year-old Timur and 23-year-old Marat, admitted to killing their older
brother Rafis and then eating him in the central Russian city of Perm. Police
grew suspicious when the brothers reported Rafis missing but were vague about
giving details of their brother. After raiding the house of the brothers,
police discovered the skeleton of Rafis, which the brothers had stripped bare
and buried in the garden. Timur said that he ate his brother because he
couldn't face going back to prison, where he had served ten years for murdering
his next door neighbor. "Yes, we've decided to eat him. I did not want to
return behind the bars, so we have cut off his head and buried it and the body
have cut in parts and kept in a refrigerator," Timur reportedly said.
"We have been cooking and eating his meat for six months," he added. The
28-year-old said he blamed his brother Rafis for his last spell in jail, after
he reported him to police for the murder. Timur also said that the youngest
