English: Rape is not about sex.

Rape is about anger, control and violence. Sex is simply the weapon of choice. 

When looking at different types of rapists, it is important to understand the arguments behind what they do. 

Not all rapists are the same. 

There are differences in both their motives, characteristics and techniques. Rapists can exhibit characteristics from more than one profile.

The information provided here, is characteristic of various ‘rapists’, and is taken from a number of sources - Profiling the Crime of Terrorism. An Investigative Tool (SAGE Publications, 1996), Criminology (Thompson Wadsworth, 2003), and Gene Ragula, Special Agent Supervision, FBI serial rapist profiler, as well as several different websites, and those stories that I was personally collected while I was in prison and talked to quite a few of the rapists that were imprisoned there.

With my personal investigations I can say with certaintly that 

Most rapists are actually between the ages of 25 and 51. 

Many are poor and minorities. 

Most choose victims of their own race.

Many rapists' include a history of conflict and other problems with women followed by their significant inability to relate to women personally and sexually. 

So normally, rapists are unarmed, but there are exceptions to this rule. 

Most foreign rapists plan their attacks and some have a diverse history of violence. 

1 in 3 has a previous record for violent crime and 25% have been before court because of rape, or other types of sexual assault. 

United States statistics show that 80% of rape cases are committed by the victim’s acquaintances. It should be emphasized that the characteristics apply only to "rape foreigners."

The FBI developed a typology of rapists that originally included 1). disorganized asocial offenders and 2). organized nonsocial classification offenders. this typology, according to Holmes, "... can be very useful when the crime at issue involves sex as their primary motive."

*1). Irregular asocial offenders:  This is a man who is completely disorganized with everything. 

From his appearance to the environment, his lifestyle, his car, and his job, he is completely disorganized in every aspect of his life. 

According to FBI data, he tends to be a stern, non -white man, with a low average IQ 9between 95 and 120], 

Often a high school dropout.

He is dirty and unkempt and his house and car [if he has one] are sloppy as well. He has a socially incompetent reticent personality with little or no social life. Due to a lack of organizational, social, and intellectual skills, he usually lacks the ability to carefully plan attacks, so they tend to be spontaneous.

According to the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit (BSU), this type of offender will often return to the scene of the crime or may attend the victim’s funeral. 

Irregular patterns of behavior can be brought to the scene as well.

*2). Organized non social offenders:

This is a very different animal altogether. He is the complete opposite of the disorderly offender. He is highly organized, albeit compulsive, process and behavioral, which tends to show in his books appearance, lifestyle, cars, and job thinking. Ted Bundy is a classic example of this type of offender. He has a very anal personality. He was organized in everything he did.

According to Holmes, "They are not social because they choose to be that way." They are lonely because they have big egos and feel no one else measures up to them. This type of offender is usually very bright, has attended at least some college, "is socially authoritative and has a sexual partner." They usually come from middle class backgrounds, are very sociable and are able to deceive people easily. They tend to hold good jobs but often have a history of drug and alcohol abuse, especially when committing crimes. Because of his personality, he was not the type to be suspected of the crime at first. It will pay great attention in both planning and committing the crime, as well as getting rid of any or all of the evidence. This one  is organized, true to his personality, takes time and picks up only one “right” - someone who is very weak, who can be controlled. One rapist stated, "I can tell by the way it can walk, the way they tilt their heads. I can tell by looking in their eyes."

Rapist profile Rapist  typology is divided into four main categories: 

Anger excitation.

Anger-retaliation,

Assertive Power, 

Power assurance, and 

Sadistic rapist

Power guarantee - 81%

This type of rapist is the most violent. These are known as “male” rapists. This is the guy who will take the victim or “date” fall in love with - if only temporarily. He is incompetent and suffers from very low self -esteem. his psychosocial background would typically include a parental home, 10th grade level of education, and hand-stained work. She is calm, passive, usually living aggressively, controlling the mother or alone; have no friends and no girlfriends. He was a loner and considered himself a loser. He often spends time in adult bookstores, could be your local John spy, or a witch. his first crime will usually be within walking distance of work or home. He will follow the victim, watch them through their window, then enter through that window at another time. He would usually attack inside the victim’s home when he was alone or with small children.

Strange as it may seem, rapists are also divided into “selfish” and “selfish” groups. This type of rapist is considered verbally and sexually “selfish”. He did not come out to injure the victim. He fantasizes that the victim is his lover and they are on a date. He will usually pick someone from a group that is his age. He believes that he enjoyed the rape. He may be courteous, polite and gentle, often talking to his victims trying, in his view, to be considerate. He generally strikes at 7-15 day intervals and will usually walk to the scene. He may display the weapon just to get cooperation from the victim but his intention is not to injure her. This isn’t to say he can’t be violent, but he usually isn’t. He most often attacks the victim only the vagina and can be impotent. He rarely uses dirty words but may want the victim to “talk dirty” to him. He asked the victim to remove her clothes but could only reveal the body parts needed for the rape to take place. He is the only of the four types that will reattack the victim. He said, "I'll call you," after the "date" was over. He can ask the victim then ask after her health. He loves to collect souvenirs and can keep a diary.

This is the easiest offender to deal with. her motives are purely sexual (although rape is not about sex) She tries to increase her self-esteem through the control of others. Usually you can try talking him out of rape, flat out pushing, or fighting back. He really didn’t want to hurt the victim and would just use enough power to control him. If he does attack, and promises to return, have to wait for the police - as he often will. the time for the attack is between midnight and 5 am, so it’s good to be pro-active and have windows and doors locked. good security alarm. Dogs don't hurt either. Loud dogs are a good thing, as they will usually scare off an attacker such as this.

*Strict power - 12%

This type of rapist has an extreme sense of superiority and qualification. He would rape women simply because he could. For him, rape was a way of confirming his manhood. This is what men do, according to him. He is the opposite of the passive type of rapist. He is usually athletic, trains often, likes a sense of style; fancy clothes and driving fancy cars, and Too caring. He likes macho images. He wanted to be known as a "man." psycho-social background will usually include a history of domestic problems and various divorces. He will likely work in male-dominated fields such as construction or police work. Unlike Toms type of rapist spying, this guy would haunt a singles bar where he could have lots of girls to make. He would use a con approach, get to know the victim, then offer to give her a ride home or walk her to his car. He will usually rape away from where he lives or works.

His hand will be the main weapon of his choice. He will use a moderate level of violence, if the victim resists, and will attack the same victim repeatedly. He was concerned about the comfort and well -being of the victim. He may attack the victim’s vagina, then anally, then force her to perform fellatio (a classic technique). And it will act with verbal and physical violence, committing very brutal attacks, even if he has no intention of killing. He slaps, hits, curses, and tears clothes. And it will act most often in the early afternoon, between 7; 12:00 and 1:00, and tend to commit rape in the pattern of 20-25 days. He picked up women of his own race and age group. The motive is control and domination of the “weaker sex”. He was very arrogant and did not try to hide his identity. No apology after words and will not attempt to contact the victim later. This one will continue unabated and have no souvenirs and no diary.

This guy is out to hurt someone. He blames the woman for all the injustices he has borne in his life. His hatred and anger are out of control. He wants to punish, hurt and humiliate them. his psycho-social background included physical and emotional abuse from one or both parents. 

About 80% have divorced parents, many have been adopted, and more than half spend time in foster care. relationships with significantly poorer women grew up creating very hostile feelings towards the opposite sex. He sees himself as very masculine, usually athletic, and often works in fast -moving male -dominated fields or sports. He is usually married and often has extramarital flings. He has a hot temper and the rape usually happens after some negative event involving one of the women in his life. his desire is almost uncontrollable, as it is the result of building up anger and resentment.

He will use both verbal with excessive foul language and physical assault, even murder. The attack was very sudden, with little thought to the future. This is not a sexual act. This is anger. He intends to hurt and humiliate the victim. He’s kind of going to “hit the live crap” out of the victim, attacking her with his hands, feet, and weapon of choice. He would pick women of his own race and age, or a little older and would usually follow them while driving close to home. her pattern of rape is usually every 6 months to a year. these victims will often have multiple physical and genital injuries. Some who have been attacked in this way, have come up with significant facial injuries at the time - injured eyes and cheeks, with hemorrhages itchy spots, swollen cheeks often with red marks; split lips, broken teeth, body bruises and wounds, and defensive injuries, and broken nails. If wearing a necklace, the victim will often have a deep impact necklace bruises; plus oral, vaginal, and / or anal injuries, etc. This is a very, very dangerous man.

*Excitement anger - The sadistic rapist:

This is the Ted Bundy group. This is your killer, rather tjust a rapist.. But first, he would beat and torture the victim. His intent was to humiliate, torture, and kill. It’s the only way he can get sexual gratification. his psycho-social background includes being raised in a single mother family and experiencing physical abuse and sexual misconduct. 

These types of children often show aggressive and early sexual intercourse tendencies. These early childhood attacks are usually on those that are closest to him, and will mildly resemble his later victims’.  As an adult, he was often about 30-39, married to a family, and living in a middle-class, low-crime area.

He is smart, educated, and usually has no arrest record. He will take the victim to a remote area (might even be in a building of sorts) most often it’  Once there, he can (and usually does) keep them tied up for days or weeks, torturing and raping them. He was very good at not being caught. This type of rapist puts a lot of planning and vigilance-thinking into his attacks. He hid waiting for his victim by car, driving out of his area. He often carries a “rape kit” with all her necessary tools, such as duct tape, scissors, binding, ice packs, ski masks, pantyhose, etc. He will usually take the victim to a remote area where he can have full control. He will tell his victims what he plans to do to them to increase their fears. It was not the injury to the victim that stimulated him, such as: bindings, blow torch, duct tape, hammer, ice pick, pantyhose, razon knife, scissors, ski masks, etc. The victim’s fear is what he needs. 

He was very very ritualistic, planning every detail of kidnapping, abuse, rape, murder, and disposal of bodies, if he had been a murderer at this point. Everything has gone according to the script down to the last detail, including having the victim say certain things to him in order for him to get sexual gratification, this victim will be lucky to escape with her life.

*Now this is how to protect yourself from these sexual predators:

• Always be sensitive to your surroundings.

• Always carry a cell phone

• Always run as you mean business. Don’t walk with your head down or act like you’re shy or vulnerable in any way. Search, and beware.

• Beware of strange men asking for help. Ted Bundy happens to seem hurt and helpless, playing on the loving nature of women.

• Don’t allow yourself to get in an unfamiliar normal business situation. If you are within arm's reach, he can grab you.

• I strongly encourage martial arts courses for all women.

• If you break on the road, ask for help. Not accepting help from strangers, especially at night.

• If you live alone, get a male contact to record your answering machine. And have a dog barking in the background. Dogs are one of the best deterrents.

• In the parking lot, do not park next to the van. Put under the lights.

• Never hide from strangers or see yourself.

• Get some nice dogs, both at home and in the car.
