This list is in no particular order, some entries are
short and some are long – there is no particular reason for this.
Pedro Rodriguez Filho - Arrested in 1973, Pedro
was later convicted in 2003 for the murder of at least 71 people and was then
sentenced to 128 years imprisonment. He was only 14 when he committed his first
killing. He wreaked havoc on local drug dealers, in revenge for his
girlfriend's killing while he was imprisoned. In prison, he even executed his
own father, who was also serving time for murder. Filho went onto kill at least
47 inmates while imprisoned. His continued killings have led to his sentence to
be increased to 400 years imprisonment.
Tsutomu Miyazaki he got more names due to his
hideous acts. Some of them were The Otaku Murderer, The Little Girl
Murderer or Dracula Miyazaki. The reason for this being that he abducted
little girls, killed them and indulged in sexual activities with their corpses.
On one occasion, he not only drank the victim's blood but ate her hand as well.
He also preserved body parts as trophies and sent postcards to the families
describing the murder. His father committed suicide and Miyazaki was hanged in
2008, aged 45
William Bonin was also known as the 'Freeway
Killer'. Between 1979 and 1980, he raped, tortured and murdered at least
21 young men. Bonin would dump their bodies along freeways in South
California. After being convicted for 14 of his killings, he was executed by
lethal injection in 1996. His sadistic side was still seen during his prison
sentence where he corresponded with many of his victims' families about
how their children reacted to his torture.
John Wayne Gacy operated between 1972 and 1978 in
Chicago, Illinois. He sexually assaulted and murdered 33 teenage boys and young
men. Gacy would lure his victims to his home with the promise of work or money
before murdering them by strangulation using a tourniquet. He buried 26 of his
victims in the crawl space under his house and later disposed the bodies off in
the Des Plaines River. Convicted of 33 murders, Gacy was sentenced to death and
spent 14 years on death row before he was executed by lethal injection on May
10, 1994.
Alexander Pichushkin, He was also known as the
'Chessboard Killer' and the 'Bitsa Park Maniac'. His targets were homeless men
whom he lured to his house with vodka. He is believed to have killed 49 people,
most of them with repeated hammer blows to their heads and inserted a vodka
bottle into the gaping skull wound. He initially said he wanted to complete the
number of squares on a chessboard and kill 64 people. Also, it is believed that
he was in competition with another Russian serial killer, Andrei Chikatilo, who
was convicted in 1992 for 53 killings. It was the very same year Alexander
started killing.
Andrei Chikatilo -Andrei, the Butcher
of Rostov, said, "When I used my knife, it brought psychological relief. I
know I have to be destroyed. I was a mistake of nature." He was
responsible for sexually assaulting, killing and mutilating 53 women and
children between 1978 and 1990 in Russia. After being captured in 1992, he was
ordered to be killed by a firing squad in 1994.
Paul Knowles - Also known as the Casanova Killer, Knowles used his charm into making victims believe him and later killed them. He killed a total of 18 people, although the count might be more. His victims included men, women and children. The man from Florida was eventually killed by an FBI agent in 1974 when he was trying to escape.
Luis Garavito also dubbed by the media as the Le Bestia (The Beast), the Colombian is probably one of the world's worst serial killers. He confessed to the torture, rape and murder of 147 young boys. But the number is believed to be over 300. He was found guilty on 139 counts, which should amount to 1,853 years in prison. But Columbian law limits it to 30, which is what he was sentenced to in 1999. He may be released earlier for cooperation and good behavior.
Ahmad Suradji The cattle-breeder from Indonesia admitted to killing 42 girls and women between 1986 to 1997. As a part of his ritual, he used to bury them waist deep. Bodies were found in a sugarcane field with their heads facing his house, which he believed would give him more power. Suradji was sentenced to death by a firing squad in 2008.
Charles Edmund Cullen, Cullen worked as a nurse in many hospitals but kept switching jobs as he was fired for suspicious behavior from many of them. He confessed to murdering 40 elderly patients in New Jersey from 1984 to 2003. He did this by poisoning his patients to death with unprescribed medication. He stated that he wanted to relieve the patients from their suffering much like an angel would. Experts say he had more than 300 victims. Cullen has been imprisoned for life
Patrick Wayne Kearney Also called the Trash Bag Killer, he operated between 1975 -1977. Kearney had a high IQ but once captured, he confessed to 32 murders of homo-sexual men. Kearney would dump their bodies along California highways and wrapped them in trash bags thus earning the name. He was convicted of 21 murders, but was sentenced to life because of his confession.
Dennis Raider - Between 1974 and 1991, Dennis Raider murdered 10 people in Wichita, Kansas. He even sent letters to police taunting them under his alias name BTK which stood for ‘Bind, Torture, Kill’. His technique was to stalk his victims before breaking into their homes, binding their limbs and finally strangling them. He disappeared in 1988, but reemerged in around 2005 when he sent a floppy disc to the press which helped in tracing him. Rader confessed to his crimes and is serving 10 consecutive life sentences with the earliest release date possible on February 26, 2180.
Gerard Schaefer this homicidal Broward County
Florida ex-policeman though convicted in 1973 of only two mutilation murders is
believed to be responsible for at least 30 more killings a sadistic sex beast
by nature Schaefer would lure young women off the roads with the help of his
badge to rape torture mutilate and murder he enjoyed tying his victims to trees
and leaving them there while he went to work as a police officer teeth jewelry
and clothing from several missing girls and young women were found in a trunk
in his mother's attic.
Donald Henry Gaskins has claimed to have killed
between 80 to 90 people by torturing and mutilating them. He started killing in
1969, picking up hitchhikers on the coastal highways of the American South. A
criminal associate witnessed him killing two young men and confessed to the
police. He was sentenced to death which was later turned to life imprisonment
without any parole. Gaskins added another murder to his name and became the
only man to have ever killed an inmate on death row.
Carl Panzram was one of America’s most ferocious
unrepentant serial killers embittered by years of torture beatings and sexual
abuse both in and out of prison Panzram evolved into a man who was meanness
personified he hated everyone including himself I was so full of hate that
there was no room in me for such feelings as love pity kindness or honor or
decency he said my only regret is that I wasn't born dead were not at all he
lived a nomadic existence committing crimes in Europe Scotland the United States
South America and once killed six men in a day in Africa and fed their bodies
to hungry crocodiles in 1920 at the age of 29 Panzram committed his first
murder killing some sailors in New York he lured away from the bar shooting
them and dumping their remains into a river panzram also shot a man dead for
trying to rob him he later raped and killed two small boys beating one to death
with Iraq and strangling the other with a belt number.
Bobby Joe Long a distant cousin of
Henry Lee Lucas viciously raped and murdered at least nine women from May 1984
to November 1984 in Tampa Florida he was born October 14 1953 in Kenova West
Virginia while he was quite young his mother left his father and took Bobby Joe
to Tampa Florida they moved around Tampa frequently staying with relatives or
in rented rooms he and his mother slept in the same bed until he was 13 his
mother tended to be overly protective and dramatic but still Bobby Joe long
managed to suffer a series of severe head injuries beginning at age
five when he was knocked unconscious in a fall from a swing and had one eyelid
secured by a stick at six he was thrown from his bicycle headfirst into a
parked car with injuries including loss of several teeth and a severe
concussion at age seven he fell from a pony onto his head and remained dizzy
and nauseous for several weeks he also seemed to have gotten into countless
fistfights with relatives and classmates between 1980 and 1983 long terrorized
the Florida communities of Miami Ocala and Fort Lauderdale as the classified-ad
rapist preying on housewives and mid day attacks dropping by while their
husbands were working Bobby Joe long typically produced a knife found his
victims rape them violently and robbed their homes before he fled between May
and November 1984 Bobby Joe long strangled stabbed and shot at least nine
victims with a tenth suspected but never charged against him in early November
he abducted a 17 year old girl off the street and raped her but let her live
two days later he raped and killed one last victim before being arrested and
charged the girl who had been spared was able to describe him in his car to
police he was sentenced to death for raping 50 women and killing nine.
Fritz Harmon had begun his crime rampage in
September 1918 a time in which Germany was suffering economic deprivation and
severe food shortages a young runaway by the name of free tour all disappeared
from home on the 25th writing to his mother only to say that he
would not return home until she was nice again various friends of the boy were
forthcoming with information and eventually led the police to number 27 seller
Strasse the home of a man they claimed had seduced freedom a detective
surprised one Fritz Harmon in bed with a young boy and he was sentenced to nine
months imprisonment for seducing the juvenile unbelievably the rooms were not
searched and upon interrogation five years later Harmon confessed that murdered
boys head was stuffed behind the stove wrapped in newspaper.
Peter Sutcliffe beginning in July -1975 with his
first attack Sutcliffe killed 13 women and left seven others for dead the seven
survivors were told how lucky they were but with physical emotional and
psychological scars that would never completely heal they didn't feel very
lucky some would even believe that they would have been better off
if the man they had known for so long as the Ripper had succeeded in killing
them Sutcliffe committed his first known assault in Keithley on the night of
fifth of July 1975 he attacked a 36 year-old woman who was walking alone
striking her unconscious with a ball-peen hammer and slashing her stomach with
a knife disturbed by a neighbor he left without killing her.
Tommy Lynn Sells is perhaps the most
dangerous Texan in history. He claimed to have killed at least 70 people. He
brutally murdered people between 1985 and 1999 including stabbing a 13-year-old
girl 16 times. Sells broke into the bedroom of a 10-year-old girl, stabbing her
and left her to die. But despite her injures, she managed to survive and gave a
detailed description of Sells to the police. He was sentenced to death &
remains on death row in a high security prison in Texas.
Aileen Wuornos She was also known as ‘The Monster
‘ Her story allowed Charlize Theron to win an Academy Award. She played
Aileen in the 2003 movie, 'Monster'. While working as a prostitute, Aileen
killed seven men in Florida for their money and confessed to shooting them,
claiming all of them had either raped or attempted to rape her. She died in 1992
by lethal injection.
Peter Kurten starting in the summer of 1929
Kurten held the city of Dusseldorf Germany in a grip of fear almost every week
of fresh corpse was found horribly slashed or bludgeoned to death some -times
sexually assaulted most of the victims were young women although men and
children were not excluded this unassuming killer sent police friendly letters
explaining where undiscovered corpses lie even going so far as to
draw them a map his atrocities continued for 15 months totaling over 30 murders Kurten told authorities he liked to kill the more people the better yes if I
had had the means of doing so I would have killed whole masses of people
brought about catastrophes he proud for victims nightly finding sexual
gratification in the slayings the one way he achieved the ultimate satisfaction
in killing was to catch the blood spurting from the victims wounds in his mouth
and swallow it hence Peter Kurten became known as the vampire of Dusseldorf
curtain was guillotine in Cologne Germany on July 2nd 1931 in his last moments
he said he wondered if he would hear his own blood spurting after his neck was
severed.
Jeffrey Dahmer was responsible
for dismembering 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. Dahmer also
indulged in necrophilia and cooking body parts of his victim, then eating them.
He was eventually caught after a prospective victim managed to overpower him.
Dahmer was sentenced to 15 terms of life imprisonment in 1992. But he was
beaten to death by a fellow prisoner at the Columbia Correctional Institution
two years later
John George Haigh was also known as the 'Acid
Bath Murderer' and operated during the 1940s. He was convicted for the murders
of 6 people, although he claimed to have killed 9. He was a professional
conman, who lured wealthy people by charm and deceit, into to a warehouse where
he shot them. Later he would dissolve their bodies in sulfuric acid then forge
papers to sell their possessions and collect their life savings. He was
sentenced to death and hanged in 1949.
Arthur Shawcross is an American serial killer
also known as the Genesee River killer he claimed most of his victims after
being paroled early following a conviction for murdering the child he was born
in Maine but the family moved to Watertown in New York State when he was young he
dropped out of school in the ninth grade and when he was 19 he enlisted in the
army he fought in the Vietnam War where he was to later confessed he had
murdered and cannibalized two young-Vietnamese girls although there is nothing
to back up this claim back in civilian life living in Watertown once
more Shawcross married four times but his wives invariably left him
after a short time because of his violent and erratic behavior it was there in
May 1972 that he murdered ten year old Jake blank he lured the boy to some
woods where he assaulted and strangled him four months later he raped and
killed an eight-year-old girl named Karen Ann Hill arrested for these crimes
Shawcross confessed to both murders but was later able to obtain a plea bargain
with the prosecutors he would plead guilty to killing just Karen and Hill on a
charge of manslaughter instead of
first-degree murder and the charge of killing Jake Blake would be dropped with
little evidence to go on prosecutors went along with this and
the self-confessed double child killer was given a 25-year sentence
Shawcross served 15 years before he was released on parole in March 1987 he had
difficulty settling down as he was chased out of homes and fired from workplaces
as soon as neighbors and employers found out about his criminal record
eventually he settled in Rochester New York and lived with a woman named Clara
starting in March 1988 Shawcross began murdering prostitutes in the area
claiming 11 victims before his capture less than two years later were usually
strangled and battered to death and were often mutilated as well after the last
victim's body was found in January 1990 the police decided not to remove it and
instead keep surveillance on the area based on a psychological profile that
suggested the killer would return to the scene Shawcross was spotted
masturbating as he sat in his car on the bridge over the creek in which the
body of his final victim was floating he was arrested and eventually confessed
in custody.
John Robinson in all there are 11 women either
dead or missing that are linked to John Robinson all of these women either
vanished or were killed over a 16 year period Robinson a married middle-aged
father of four had a hunger for murder and money Robinson was a sadomasochist
and met some of the women though his internet identity as the slave master
others he met through personal ads and other means his secrets were uncovered
when two metal 55-gallon barrels were located on his property in rural Kansas
and each burial contained a female body a few days later three more female
bodies were found in barrels in a storage locker rented by Robinson in Missouri
Robinson was convicted of the murders of the two women found in Kansas and a
third woman whose body was never found he was given the death penalty
unbelievably Robinson gave the baby of one of his victims to his brother and
sister-in-law to raise telling them it as a legal adoption he even charged his own
brother $5,500 in bogus adoption fees Robinson also cashed about forty three
thousand dollars in Social Security and alimony checks meant for three of his
victims.
Dennis Andrew Nielsen is a Scottish serial
killer who lived in London during the murderous spree lasting five years he
killed at least 15 men Nielsen did not fit the standard profile of a serial
killer as a child he was repulsed by cruelty to animals as an adult he worked
to help the downtrodden at his job with the manpower service commission even in
his murders Nielsen killed out of a grotesque form of love he killed for
company Nielson was a homosexual and experienced a series of failed relationships
in 1978 he picked up a boy in a pub and brought him back to his London
apartment afraid that boy would leave him in the morning Nielsen killed him in his
sleep he kept the body around his apartment for days posing it to bathing
eating dinner watching TV sleeping in bed and another activities as though it
was his boyfriend this pattern continued with Nielsen recruiting companions at
local pubs until a plumber found bones and rotten flesh in the apartment sewer
system. Nielsen was sentenced to life in prison in 1983 after confessing to 15
murders.
In order that we as a community may be safe from
animals such as those that I have listed above, it is necessary to understand
the method to their individual madness and digest it, so that collectively we
may comprehend and that way pass this knowledge onto the next generation. Our
next generation will be allowed to learn this knowledge and apply it to their
survival, for without them, society will, be no more, as we spiral into the
never-ending void of anarchy.
