Police in Wayne County have charged Jeremy Daniel Briscese, 40, with 1,556 counts of rape, rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child 16 or younger, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, statutory sexual assault of child by someone 11 years or more older, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a child younger than 13, aggravated indecent assault of a child younger than 16, indecent assault of a person younger than 13, indecent assault of a person younger than 16, incest of a minor younger than 13, incest of a minor between 13 and 18 years old, endangering the welfare of a child by a parent or guardian or other adult, corruption of minors when the defendant is 18 or older, unlawful sexual contact with a minor, criminal use of a communication facility, child pornography, and witness intimidation.
Most of the charges on the 66-page court docket (>LINK: https://ujsportal.pacourts.us/Report/MdjDocketSheet?docketNumber=MJ-22302-CR-0000104-2022&dnh=qSF39NxHJgg98gIs2h890Q==) are listed 143 times each — one for each heart police say Biscese drew on his calendar.
Investigators said the girl told her grandmother what was going on, but the grandmother reportedly said she didn’t believe her and told her not to tell her therapist. The victim also told police that the grandmother was in the home when Briscese assaulted her and that they would “be very loud and obvious but the grandmother would not acknowledge it was going on,” according to WBRE. Special Agent Kevin Jamerison, said that a lengthy and detailed inspection of the Briscese residence yielded a “an absolute treasure trove” of evidence (Video, DVD, Photographic materials, and other items) relating to similar criminal offenses against children “victims’ that were still in the diaper stage” perperated by individual who [due to the near perfect quality of the photographical evidence] should be realitively easy to identify and apprehend. Agent Janerison, further remarked that the “evidence thus far found, and is being processed now, could potentially solve several hundred, if not thousands of cases across the United States. It is worth noting that a vast network of pedeophilic behavor has been quite elusive in dismantling this criminal netwok, and, ‘the amount of material in Briscese’s possession, could take several months to more fully process; most importedly, this gives us a starting point in the “slaying of the ‘boogie monsters.’” We, shall keep the public informed, of any new developments in this case.
Briscese appeared in court on Wednesday, when his bail was set at $500,000, court records show. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 27.
Thia hearing will be held under the tightest security possible, as there has been far too many threats of extreme violence made against the defendant Briscese, that according to Special Agent Kevin Jamerison,.”we take such threats extremely seriously, given the nature of the offense and the age of the victim.”
As always, stay safe!
